April provides routine cleanings for our patients, as well as non-surgical care for their gums to prevent periodontal disease. Patients trust her to make their cleaning appointments comfortable and relaxed, and to help them maintain healthy gums. She is also our coordinator for National Children's Dental Health Month every February, as well as the Give Kids A Smile program. April is great with kids and she loves seeing them visit our practice as they grow up. It's a busy job, but April likes staying active both at work and elsewhere. She enjoys camping, hiking, and kayaking. She also applies herself to arts and crafts like beadwork and pottery. April spends a lot of time with her significant other, Rick, their dog, Suki (Stackhouse), and Kitters the cat.
Peggy has found working as a hygienist since 1988 very fulfilling. She enjoys meeting people and getting to know them over the time she provides care. Helping them achieve their goals for their smiles and healthy mouths gives her a lot of satisfaction. She strives to provide painless, relaxing dental appointments for all ages.
Peggy moved to Lake Placid in 1995 in order to be close to the High Peaks where she hikes year round. Her special love is climbing the High Peaks on snowshoes! She is active as a Director on the Board of the Adirondack Mt. Club, past Director of the ADK 46ers, lean-to and trail adopter for over 10 years, and has had hiking stories published in magazines. She was featured in the NY Times and in the book, Women with Altitude, for her winter hiking. She is a world traveler, having hiked in New Zealand, Antarctica, Everest Base Camp region in Nepal, 3 times to the summit of Kilimanjaro in Africa as well as hiking in US and Canadian National Parks. The Grand Canyon is one of her favorite places.
When not working or traveling, Peggy manages a rental apartment, sings in the choir at St. Eustace Church, enjoys skiing, loves to camp, and cares for her gardens.

During her career, she has worked with dental organizations and liaison boards as a member advocate, but tells us she still prefers working in clinical practice above all. Providing service to patients is where it's at! She enjoys our family practice and our community. In her spare time she has completed the program for Parent Advocacy in Special Education with Parent to Parent of New York State. She also likes to study American Indian History and Culture. Above all, she loves spending "quality time" with her grand kids by making Grandma's place a fun place to visit for Adirondack outdoor activities, special treats and sleepovers.
Trisha is our new office manager. She brings to the team her 5 years of financial experience and a go-getter attitude. Trisha now continues to expand her knowledge to include runing day-to-day operations, training new staff and helping patients with both their scheduling and financial needs. Trisha is married to Eric and they have two boys Ryan and Tyler, and a dog named Winchester. During the summer she enoys being by the pool, 4 wheeling or camping with her family. The winters are spent plaing in the snow with her boys.
Leslie helps our patients set their appointments and reminds them of their next visit. She also aids patients with their check-in forms. Her sociable personality shines as she greets everyone with a smile and has friendly chats with our patients while they wait. Leslie loves spending time with her son, Hayden, especially at his sporting events. She also loves relaxing in front of the TV for her favorite shows.
Sarah has found a great home here at Lake Placid Family Dental. She loves to see the work done at our practice make a positive impact on our patients’ lives. She enjoys getting to know our patients and finding out what they’re doing in their own lives. So far, she’s heard a lot of interesting stories! In 2017, Sarah took her over 5 years of dental assisting experience to our front desk where she now incorporates her knowledge into treatment planning and coordinating with insurance companies to help our patients best maximize their dental benefits. Being with her family is Sarah’s favorite thing while outside of work. She has a young son, Emmett, and they spend lots of time walking around the lake, eating ice cream, going to the beach, and cross country skiing and sledding in the winter.
Darcy joined the Lake Placid Family Dental team in July of 2017 as a New York State Certified Dental Assistant with over 30 years of experience. She graduated from Monroe Community College in 2005. Darcy's expertise and attention to clinical detail has proven to be a huge assett to the team! Darcy moved from the Albany area to take advantage of all the wonders the Adirondack mountains have to offer. She enjoys camping, kayaking, hiking and snowmobiling in the winter. She loves to spend time with her two daughters and her grandson.
As the newest member of the LPFD family, Bailey (lovingly dubbed "Baby Bird") has made the practice her home in record time. Bailey came to Lake Placid Family Dental with 3 years of Dental Assisting experience after attending the Adirondack Dental Assisting School in 2014. She is looking forward to acquiring her NYS Certification from Monroe Community College, beginnning in the Fall of 2018! Bailey is quickly getting to know her patients, and greets them with a big smile and a great attitude each day. Bailey is the proud dog Mommy to Daisy and enjoys spending time with her family, Jimmy and Daisy, snowmobiling, hiking and traveling, but not for too long, as the mountains always call her home.
Linda is a returning Dental Assistant with many years of experience helping the doctor at Lake Placid Family Dental. She is one of 8 children! She enjoys swimming, gardening, dinners with her family and vacations in the South. Summer is her favorite season! Linda has a great husband, two daughters, a two beautiful grandchildren.
