Peggy moved to Lake Placid in 1995 in order to be close to the High Peaks where she hikes year round. Her special love is climbing the High Peaks on snowshoes! She is active as a Director on the Board of the Adirondack Mt. Club, past Director of the ADK 46ers, lean-to and trail adopter for over 10 years, and has had hiking stories published in magazines. She was featured in the NY Times and in the book, Women with Altitude, for her winter hiking. She is a world traveler, having hiked in New Zealand, Antarctica, Everest Base Camp region in Nepal, 3 times to the summit of Kilimanjaro in Africa as well as hiking in US and Canadian National Parks. The Grand Canyon is one of her favorite places.

When not working or traveling, Peggy manages a rental apartment, sings in the choir at St. Eustace Church, enjoys skiing, loves to camp, and cares for her gardens.
